Netflix Plunges on Subscriber Growth Slowdown, Weak Forecast

Netflix posted third quarter earnings of $0.96 a share on revenue of $1.41 billion. Wall Street analysts were looking for $0.93 on sales of $1.41 billion. Last year, the movie streaming service earned $0.52 per share on revenue of $1.11 billion. As for details, Netflix added about a million new members in the U.S., ending Q3 with 37.22 million members, which was lower than its forecast and versus the prior year. The company added 2 million members internationally to end the quarter with 15.84 million members, also lower than guidance. TheStreet's Gregg Greenberg has details from New York.
