Netflix (NFLX) hit an all-time high after impressing investors with its subscriber growth over the second quarter. The streaming service reported an increase of more than 3 million international subscribers, topping out its global membership at 65.55 million subscribers. Earnings were the main driver of markets, giving the S&P 500 and Nasdaq a boost while capping major gains on the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Shares of auction site eBay (EBAY) and major bank Citigroup (C) were also pushing markets higher. Gains were made after the two beat expectations in their recent quarters. UnitedHealth (UNH) shares dragged on the Dow, despite beating quarterly estimates on its top- and bottom-line.
