NCAA Business Amateurism Model Could Be a Relic of the Past

The NCAA's entire business model is on the line as the conversations around amateurism and college athlete compensation have moved to statehouses and the U.S. Supreme Court. 

The country's highest court is currently considering the NCAA's rules against player compensation in NCAA vs Alston. At the same time, five different states -- Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and New Mexico -- are slated to implement their own NIL laws (name, image, likeness) on July 1.
