Americans need to step up and save, because unlike other countries our government will not pay for the majority of our retirement expenses, says John Hailer, CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management. The U.S. ranked 19th in the 2014 Natixis Global Retirement Index, unchanged from last year. Switzerland, Norway and Austria took the top three spots in the survey, which takes into account health, material well-being, quality of life and finances. Hailer says that Americans are living longer so they need to stop worrying about the latest hot stocks and think about their future security instead.
