In what might become a model for the Catholic Church in the U.S., the New York Archdiocese has set up a compensation program for victims who were sexually abused by priests. The program will be administered by attorney Kenneth Feinberg, who also mediated financial claims against companies including BP  (BP) - Get Report , General Motors  (GM) - Get Report  and those related to the 9/11 terror attacks. Feinberg will initially review over 150 claims, and the Archdiocese has not set a cap on payments. He says compensation awards do not close wounds. 'Money is a pretty poor substitute for loss and for hurt,' he said. TheStreet's Rhonda Schaffler has details from New York.
