Motor Trend Names Volkswagen Golf Family as Car of the Year

The Volkswagen Golf Family was named Motor Trend's 2015 car of the year. The magazine has been crowning cars of the year since its inaugural publication back in 1949. The stakes were high this year. Of the 23 models considered for the top spot, Motor Trend judges selected 10 finalists. Additional Golf models will be rolled out early next year, including the all-wheel drive Golf R and the Golf SportWagen range. A strict criteria is used to select the final winner.
