Monday, December 1 – Alan Knuckman reports from the floor of the CME Group in Chicago where the end of the month brought some excitement to markets on Black Friday. The e-mini S&P futures closed down 6 to 2,066, the Dow was up slightly to 17,812, and the Nasdaq was up to 4,338. The Nasdaq gained 5.6% for the month of November. The dollar was up to 88.41, with the Euro falling to 1.2436. Bonds rose to 142'20. Crude oil fell dramatically to 66.15 following the OPEC meeting on Thursday. Gold fell to 1,176 in conjunction with the move in oil and in anticipation of the Swiss banking referendum. This morning, the big commodity moves have been digested as gold and oil are bouncing. Equities and the dollar are pulling back, as the Euro and bonds are positive.
