Morning Market Stir: The Trend Continues as the S&P and Dow Hit New Highs

The equity rally resumes as crude, gold, and the Euro attempt to stabilize

Tuesday, November 11 – Alan Knuckman reports from the floor of the CME Group in Chicago where the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrials closed at new highs on Monday. The e-mini S&P futures finished at 2,034, the Dow ended at 17,553, and the Nasdaq just missed new highs at 4,178. The dollar clawed back some lost ground, closing at 87.91, as the Euro fell to 1.2425. The bond market dropped to 140'31. Crude almost broke 80 before reversing and closing at 77.40, and gold also fell to 1,160. This morning, equities are once again chasing new highs, the dollar is holding firm, with the Euro up slightly, bonds down, and crude and gold still fighting for an upside reversal.
