Wednesday, November 12 – Alan Knuckman reports from the floor of the CME Group in Chicago where equity indexes were quiet during the holiday action yesterday but did manage to make new highs. The e-mini S&P closed at 2,036.5, the Dow was up to 17,568, and the Nasdaq finished at 4,183. The dollar pulled back to 87.72, allowing the Euro to recover to 1.2467. Bonds were down to 140'28. Crude saw a little bit of a bounce, finishing at 77.95, and gold ended at 1,163. This morning, equities are pulling back as bonds push higher. Currencies are quiet. Crude is down slightly, and gold is hanging around yesterday's close.
