Thursday, September 11 – Alan Knuckman reports from the floor of the CME Group in Chicago where equities bounced Wednesday after dropping the first two days of the week. The S&P and Dow bounced to 1,995 and 17,058, while the Nasdaq led the way to 4,093. The dollar was up to 84.20, with the Euro closing at 1.2913. Bonds remained weak, drifting lower to 137’06. Crude was down 0.18 cents to 91.67 and gold fell 3 dollars to 1,245. After the recovery rally yesterday, equities are down again this morning. The dollar is firm, along with both the Euro and bonds, and crude and gold are both continuing to drop.
