Thursday, November 6 – Alan Knuckman reports from the floor of the CME Group in Chicago where equities hit new highs once again. The S&P finished at 2,019, the Dow closed at 17,413, and the Nasdaq ended the day unchanged at 4,142. The dollar continued higher, closing at 87.57, knocking the Euro to 1.2483. Bonds continued to consolidate at 141'03. Crude oil caught a bounce to 78.70, while gold got crushed, falling to 1,148. This morning, equities and the dollar are pulling back, while the Euro is up as it continues to base. The bond market continues to hover above 141, oil is failing to follow through after yesterday's move, and gold is unchanged.
