Morning Market Stir: Marginal New Highs Heading into the Break

A quiet morning thus far heading into the Thanksgiving break

Wednesday, November 26 – Alan Knuckman reports from the floor of the CME Group in Chicago where equities hit new-all time highs yesterday. The S&P got as high as 2,073 before closing unchanged at 2,067. The Dow was up, closing at 17,808, and the Nasdaq finished at 4,292. The dollar fell to 87.96, while the Euro got up 1.2473. Bonds were up to 142'31, breaking out of their recent range. Crude broke down below the 75 level, closing at 74.09, and gold was up slightly to 1,197. Equity markets are hanging around yesterday's close, with currencies unchanged, and bonds higher. Crude is down again, and gold is unchanged.
