Thursday, December 4 – Alan Knuckman reports from the floor of the CME Group in Chicago where market participants are getting used to new highs on a daily basis. The S&P closed at 2,072, with the Dow finishing at 17,897, and the Nasdaq lagged for the third day in a row, closing at 4,310. The dollar hit new highs as well before ending at 88.99. The Euro fell to 1.2311. The bond market was quiet on Wednesday, closing at 141'08. Crude was up to 67.38 as it consolidates below 70, with gold up at 1,209 despite the strong dollar. This morning, equity markets were up early and are fighting around unchanged levels, with currencies and bonds steady as well. Crude is down and gold is higher.
