From the floor of the CME group in Chicago Alan Knuckman discusses yesterday's market and what it indicates for Thursday, July 17. S&P closed up 6.75 at 1974.75, DOW made new highs closing up 69 at 17,057 and the NASDAQ closed at 3922.5. Dollar index closed at 80.63 and the Euro currency down 35 point at 135.26. Bonds were up at 137.05, crude up at 100.25 and gold was unchanged. Today Thursday July 17, S&P is down at 1964.5, DOW is down 50 points and the NASDAQ is also down. The Dollar index is down and Euro currency is up, bonds, crude oil and gold are all up.¿
