From the floor of the CME group Alan Knuckman discusses mixed markets yesterday and what is means for Wednesday, July 16. The S&P closed down 3 points at 1968, DOW was up 10 at 16,985 and NASDAQ made new highs but closed down 7 points at 3912.5. The dollar index surged up at 80.45 pushing the Euro currency down to 135.71. Bond market unchanged at 136.30, crude oil closed below $100 at 99.95, gold closed down at 1297. On Wednesday July 16 the index futures are up, dollar index is up and Euro currency is down, bond market is unchanged, 30 year note is at 3.37% yield and 10 year note at 2.55%, crude oil and gold are up.¿
