From the floor of the CME group in Chicago Alan Knuckman discusses last weeks drop off and what it means for Monday, July 14. Markets backed off last week without new highs for the session. On Friday, S&P lost 0.9% closing at 1962.5, DOW lost 0.75% at 16,881, NASDAQ up 0.6% at 3897. Dollar index and Euro currency were unchanged on the weekly basis. Bond market closed at 137.12, crude pulled back at 100.75, gold was down 2 Friday at 1337 but did gain $17 on the week. On Monday, July 14 the index futures are up, dollar index is down and Euro currency up above 136. 30- year notes is at 3.34% yield, and the 10 year at 2.52%. Bonds are unchanged, crude is down 40 and gold is down $15 but still above the 1300 level. ¿
