Morning Market Stir: Futures and Commodities Preview
From the floor of the CME group in Chicago, Alan Knuckman recaps another week of record highs and what it indicates for Monday, June 23. S&P up to new all-time highs, voiding out the key reversal we had the week before. Uptrend remains strong and intact. Dow and Dow Futures up; NASDAQ up slightly. Currencies quiet on Friday. We’ll see if dollar index can break 80 level on the downside which acts as support; Euro finished the week down 15. Bonds up 3 ticks on the week, Crude up 50 cents Friday. Gold held its strong weekly gains, up $42 on the week. For Monday June 23, index futures are down slightly but holding steady, the dollar index is up and euro currency is down, the 30-year note is at 3.43 and the 10-year at 2.61, bonds and crude are up and gold is down.¿
