From the CME Group trading floor, Alan Knuckman reviews multiple markets heading into trade Monday, June 9. Another week, another record close on the highs on Friday. All-time high mid session was 1949.50, but the big winner was the NDX, a complete V-shape recovery. The U.S. dollar closed higher, while the euro was lower. Crude was in a tight range, bonds were flat and gold gained slightly. Markets on Monday are off slightly by two points on the S&P 500, U.S. dollar is up, while the euro is backing up a bit. Bonds are down six and the yields have pushed back higher, with the 10-Year now yielding 2.6%.
