Wednesday, October 15 – Alan Knuckman reports from the floor of the CME Group in Chicago, where equities finally had a green day on Tuesday, with the S&P e-mini futures closing at 1,875, the Dow at 16,255, and the Nasdaq at 3,812.5. Currencies were mostly quiet as the dollar firmed to 85.91 and the Euro pulled back to 1.2654. Bonds continued strong to 142'22. Crude oil fell sharply to 81.84, while gold moved higher to 1,234. This morning, equities are breaking downward once again, with the indexes taking out yesterday's lows. The dollar and Euro are not doing much as Treasuries continue to explode higher. Crude is down again, with gold holding steady.
