Monday, September 9 – Alan Knuckman reports from the floor of the CME Group in Chicago where the markets are set to start continue making new highs this month. Futures markets were open yesterday, and the S&P closed at 2000.5, the Dow at 17,085, and the Nasdaq 4,082.75. The dollar was unchanged, but the Euro made new lows at 1.3132. Bonds came in yesterday to 141’17, crude was down to 95.80, and gold stayed put. This morning, equities continue higher. The dollar is hitting new highs and putting pressure on the Euro. Bonds, crude, and gold are selling off sharply.
