More to Europe Than Weak Currency Says Gerstein Fisher Manager

There are attractive investing opportunities across Europe that are based on more than a weak Euro, said Gregg Fisher, portfolio manager for Gerstein Fisher. Fisher added that he expects Greece to remain within the European Union, but if it does exit there will be a solution, even if the immediate reaction is a spike in volatility and currency dislocation. He said the Japanese economy has improved in the past year and there are attractive opportunities, especially relative to the U.S. market. Finally, Fisher said investors should view REITs as equities and not purely for income.
