HBO Hit With Another Round of Leaked Episodes
Hackers have released more unaired episodes from Time Warner Inc.'s (TWX) HBO in the latest leak to hit the company.
The broadcaster has had to suffer through a number of leaks after hackers stole roughly 1.5 terabytes of data earlier in the summer. The individuals behind the security breach have been slowly releasing the content they have, including company emails and TV shows, over several weeks. Currently, the shows that have been leaked online include Game of Thrones, Ballers & Curb Your Enthusiasm.
In return for the stolen data, the hackers have demanded a multi-million dollar ransom in Bitcoin.
HBO released a statement following the most recent leaks which said "The hacker may continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information in an attempt to generate media attention. That's a game we're not going to participate in."
