The cost of an electric vehicle depends on the cost of the batteries that power the vehicle. Masaki Sakuyama believes that it will become cheaper to produce the batteries in the future, which will ultimately reduce the price of electric cars.
While Tesla leads the electric vehicle industry, it has become more diluted recently as other automakers enter the field.
CEO Masaki Sakuyama told CNBC, "The cost of the battery is now dropping very rapidly, so in the near future, the cost of the electric vehicle will be comparable to the conventional cars."
