U.S. stocks followed the global markets selloff as fears over the health of the global economy spiked. European markets tumbled after a surprise contraction in Germany's manufacturing sector. The U.S. services sector expanded in March at its fastest pace since December. A boost in new orders drove growth in the ISM non-manufacturing index, while employment returned to positive territory after falling to a negative reading in February for the first time in two years. Twitter (TWTR) - Get Report  shares jumped after the company confirmed it had won streaming rights to ten Thursday night NFL games to air this fall. The social network outbid several other heavyweights including Verizon (VZ) - Get Report , Yahoo! (YHOO) and Facebook (FB) - Get Report . TheStreet's Keris Lahiff has details from Wall Street.
