Microsoft Shares Surge as Azure Revenue Soars Almost 100%

Microsoft (MSFT) - Get Report shares moved higher after reporting earnings of $0.98 a share, while analysts had expected $0.71
Revenue of $24.7 billion topped estimates of $24.3 billion.
Sales from is cloud product Azure grew 97% year over year. Intelligent Cloud revenue stood at $7.4 billion, up 11% year over year.
LinkedIn revenue, which Microsoft owns, stood at $1.1 billion for the quarter.
