Michigan Governor Rick Snyder Coy on Possible Presidential Bid
Michigan Governor Rick Snyder shied away from answering whether he’ll throw his had into the ring for the Republican presidential nomination but he was eager to tout his accomplishments since taking office. Whether or not he chooses to run, Snyder said Washington needs some new blood. ‘Lets not have someone who is going to follow the same model of being a traditional politician. We have real problems. Washington is a mess and we need to look at things in a new way. ‘ Despite the gridlock in Washington, Snyder said he’s very much focused on creating more middle class jobs in Michigan. ‘I’m focused on the skilled trades, career tech education, all those areas that are not getting enough attention. If you talk to most business people, they’ll tell you that they need more people with those skill sets and they are great paying jobs.’ TheStreet’s Rhonda Schaffler has details from the Milken Global Conference in Los Angeles.
