Steve Cannon, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz in the U.S., said he expects U.S. sales to be 'a bit better' in 2015 than 2014.
Steve Cannon, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz in the U.S., said he expects U.S. sales to be 'a bit better' in 2015 than 2014. The subsidiary of the German automaker will gain additional production of its C-Class cars from a factory in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and of its CLA sedan from Hungary. 'The U.S. is the most competitive automotive market in the world,' he said. Domestic automakers in the U.S. are building cars that compete with traditional luxury models, he explained. Cannon expects the U.S. automotive market to rise 3 percent this year, with luxury vehicle sales rising in the 5 to 7 percent range.
