Meet Habit, the Meal Delivery Service Engineered Around Your DNA
While food delivery services that come in at $10-$15 a meal are expensive, health is pretty priceless if you have serious dietary restrictions. It goes without saying that there are a ton of meal services to choose among (Blue Apron, Plated and HelloFresh to name a few) but one that's suited to your unique profile sounds promising in theory. Enter Habit, which set up shop at CES 2017. What sets it apart from other meal delivery services is it initially delivers a testing kit and along with help from the app, you gather DNA samples to ship to their certified testing lab. The at-home kit measures over 60 different biomarkers to tailor a plan to your specific dietary needs and goals while also taking your lifestyle habits into account. The Nutrition Intelligence Engine, or algorithm that determines your meals, is then based on recommendations from registered dietitians. Habit expects to launch nationally later this year.
