Cognizant Technology (CTSH) was the best performer on the S&P 500 after beating quarterly estimates and reporting a 20% surge in sales. Keurig (GMCR) was the worst performer after Bank of America analysts warned of softer sales this year as competition for home coffee brewers heats up. Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) slid alongside other shale explorers after David Einhorn, founder of Greenlight Capital, criticized the fracking industry.
