The Chicago-based chain, which started testing the loyalty program in a few U.S. cities last year, is taking the program nationwide on July 8. However, MyMcDonald’s Rewards is only available on its applications.
The fast-food giant says that the patrons will get 100 points for every $1 spent as per the program. Customers need to rack up at least 1500 points to get their hands on free stuff.
To encourage people to sign-up for this program, McDonald's is giving out 1500 points as a sign-up bonus after their first order.
It's worth mentioning that offering loyalty programs to entice customers is not a new phenomenon.
