McDonald's Earnings, Box IPO: What to Watch on Wall Street Jan. 23

On Friday, January 23rd Box (BOX) makes its debut on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange. The company launched in 2005, and charges companies monthly fees for its cloud storage sharing, collaboration, and security tools. Box currently has a total of 32 million registered users, and has some big name clients. On the earnings front, we look out for numbers from General Electric (GE), McDonald's (MCD), and Honeywell (HON). McDonald's will post its fourth quarter results as analysts expect the restaurant chain to report a year-over-year decline in both earnings and revenue. Following the recent food safety issues in China, sales have tumbled in the Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa region. On the economic calendar, we look out for the Markit flash PMI manufacturing index, existing home sales, and leading indicators. TheStreet's Kurumi Fukushima reports from New York.
