Mayor of Columbus, Ohio Optimistic About Clinton's Chances to Win the State
One Democratic Mayor in the battleground state of Ohio is optimistic about Hillary Clinton's prospects for victory there.
Ohio remains a battleground state in the presidential election, but one local Democratic mayor is feeling good about Hillary Clinton's campaign strategy in the state. "It's going to be very competitive. It always comes down to just a few thousand votes in Ohio, but we feel very optimistic about her chances there," said Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther. Mayor Ginther says Columbus is the fastest growing economy in the Midwest, thanks to efforts to diversify the local economy. The city has set a goal to add 150,000 net new jobs in the region by 2020, and to raise personal per capita income by 30 percent.
