What trade war with China?
"We are very optimistic about China," Marriott (MAR) CEO Sorenson tells TheStreet. "Chinese travel is obviously growing significantly as the Chinese economy moves towards more of a consumer economy."
Marriott also has a partnership with Alibaba (BABA) .
Even in a trade war, Sorenson expects the China economy to continue to move towards a consumption based economy and travelers in the region will continue to want to see the rest of the world.
