Markets Await February Jobs Report Friday

On Friday, March 10, the February jobs report is released at 8:30 a.m. EST from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Economists expect nonfarm payrolls to rise by 200,000. Forecasts for this report are elevated, given Wednesday's blowout ADP jobs report, which tracks private payrolls and tends to foreshadow the government's jobs report. Average hourly wages are expected to rise 0.3% month-over-month. The report is extra important, as the Federal Reserve weighs a hike to short-term interest rates next week.
