Marijuana Bill to Change Schedule Class is Introduced
The Legitimate Use of Medicinal Marijuana Act would change the classification of marijuana to a Schedule 2 drug and prohibit the government from preventing possession of medical marijuana.
A new marijuana bill has been introduced in Congress by Republican Representative Morgan Griffith of Virginia. The Legitimate Use of Medicinal Marijuana Act would change the classification of marijuana from a Schedule 1 drug to a Schedule 2 drug. The LUMMA bill has been referred to committee, where it stands an 11% chance of being approved. The bill would also prohibit the government from preventing prescriptions and the possession of medical marijuana.
