Over the period ended March, the British soccer club earned 6.66 British pounds, three times earnings a year earlier, and far exceeding analysts' estimates of 5 pounds. Revenue jumped 26% to 115.5 million pounds, driven by its commercial and broadcasting segments. In the former, which includes sponsorships and merchandising, sales climbed 44%, while broadcasting revenue soared 64% on expanded rights agreements and an additional five games broadcast live over the quarter.
