In 2014, the total economic contribution to travel and leisure for the global economy was $7.58 trillion, according to Statista.com. Shifts in the economy, new technology, and contemporary parenting have had a measurable impact on the rapid and sustained growth of this travel segment, specifically how it is packaged, planned and paid for. Luxury travel trends continue to evolve in this on-demand economy we are living in. Inspirato is a luxury vacation club with over 10,000 members. The company manages and controls 300 global luxury destinations. David Kallery of Inspirato tells TheStreet's Jill Malandrino that the key is the level of service from the concierge team that separates the company from other destination competitors. In fact, American Express (AXP) partnered with Inspirato. Kallery says the top luxury destinations include Tuscany, Mexico, Hawaii and the summer always draws the luxury consumer to Nantucket and Sea Island, GA.
