More turbulence ahead for Lufthansa. An on-going dispute about retirement benefits has led pilots to extend their two day strike to long haul flights. Germany's largest airline has cancelled 1,350 flights affecting 150,000 passengers. Monday's strike mainly affected flights within Europe. Lufthansa has also rescheduled some of its cargo flights. Other airlines in the Lufthansa groups such as Germanwings, Swiss and Austrian Airlines have not been affected by the walk-out. The strike comes following failed talks with the pilots union. Lufthansa is looking to cut transition payments for pilots wanting to retire early. The airline cited increasingly tough competition as the reason for the cuts.
