Thursday, April 30th is the last day of the month, and traders are still watching quarterly earnings reports. Wall Street awaits results from companies including Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM), ConocoPhillips (COP), Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A), Colgate-Palmolive Co (CL), Time Warner Cable Inc (TWC), Visa Inc (V), and LinkedIn Corp (LNKD). LinkedIn is scheduled to release its first quarter earnings results after the closing bell. Earlier this month, LinkedIn bought online learning company Lynda.com for about $1.5 billion in cash and stock. On the economic calendar, we note the key economic data to watch. Look out for weekly jobless claims, personal income data for the month of March, first quarter employment cost index, and Chicago PMI.
