LinkedIn posted quarterly earnings after Thursday's closing bell which beat forecasts even as doubt about social networking has weighed on the stock. Investors remain focused on the issue of potential deceleration in top-line growth for LinkedIn. The company posted profits of $0.38 a share, four cents better than forecasts. On the top line, Linkedin earned $473.2 million dollars, that was roughly 7 million dollars better than estimates. LinkedIn says it is working on growing as a professional publishing platform and materially increasing the listing of job opportunities available on the site.
