Liberty Tax CEO: Change in Washington Good For Tax Preparers

The Republican takeover of Congress and the ensuing tax changes will boost business for tax preparers, said John Hewitt, CEO of Liberty Tax. Hewitt added that the changes and complexity associated with the Affordable Care Act have caused a surge of people to seek out tax preparation services. He said Liberty shares have been strong in 2014 due to the company's ability to execute and, as a result, win market share from its competitors. Hewitt is also rolling out a line of branches called 'SiempreTax' dedicated to serving the Hispanic market, which he says is a perfect demographic for Liberty.
