Stocks dropped in midday trading Friday on disappointing reports on the economy. The big economic data Friday was the monthly ISM index, which came in below expectations at 55.5 in December. Separately, construction spending fell 0.3% in November, instead of the estimated gain for that amount. Shares of casino stocks are getting slammed. Las Vegas Sands (LVS), Wynn (WYNN) and MGM (MGM) resorts all dropped after news Macau’s gaming revenue was down 30% in December. Rough start for the new year for Tesla (TSLA) and its CEO. Shares are falling in the session. CEO Elon Musk and his wife divorced for a second time. The couple reportedly settled amicably with Musk’s ex-wife receiving $16 million in cash and other assets. That’s far more than the first settlement, when she got just about $4 million.
