The mood in Las Vegas for both housing and the casino industry is optimistic, but it still has a long way to go before it reaches pre-crisis levels, says Michael PeQueen, Senior Partner at HighTower. Speculative interest has crept back into the housing market because the bust was so deep, says PeQueen, and while unemployment remains high by historical standards it is far better than it was even two years ago.
