Keurig Green Mountain Shows Revenue Growth and Earnings Beat

Keurig Green Mountain, maker of the K-Cup, reported earnings after Wednesday's closing bell. Earnings of $1.03 beat estimates of $0.89 and were 9 cents higher the prior year period. Revenue of $1 billion were on target with estimates and showed a 6% increase over the same period a year ago. Keurig said that the 10% increase in total portion pack net sales was the main driver behind the increase in revenue. Keurig also raised their estimates for earnings for the year to between $3.71 and $3.78 from previous projections between $3.63 and $3.73. Keurig will be launching a new hot brew system, new brand lines for their K-Cups, and a cold brew system in the coming quarters. Whalen MacHale reports for TheStreet from New York.
