TheStreet's Jim Cramer says the weaker-than-expected July Retail Sales figures are an anomaly given the fact that the number of people with jobs in the U.S. is improving and that gasoline prices are trending lower. Cramer says one explanation may be that online retailers are taking away what people would normally buy in a bricks and mortar retailer. Cramer says Amazon (AMZN) is taking a lot of sales away from traditional stores. Cramer says there is more competition in retail. Despite a poor performance for the autos component of the report, Cramer says he remains bullish on GM because of the yield it offers investors.
