The U.S. has reported over 100,000 cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday and Thursday.
On Thursday, Nov. 5, the U.S. surpassed a new milestone: 116,000 cases of COVID-19 were reported, per the COVID-19 Tracking project.
There are 48.9 million cases of the coronavirus worldwide, with 1.2 million deaths. In the U.S., there are 9.6 million cases with 235,000 deaths.
1.5 million tests were reported. And 1,124 deaths were reported Thursday.
And this came as the U.S. added 638,000 new jobs last month, better than economists' expectations, while the unemployment rate fell to 6.9% from 7.9%.
