Jim Cramer Talks Tesla, Steve Mnuchin, Kohl's and Nvidia

TheStreet's Action Alerts PLUS Portfolio Manager Jim Cramer shares his take on Thursday's hot stocks.

Here's a quick recap: 

On Tesla (TSLA) - Get Report , Cramer said the company needs to raise more capital. On Wednesday, Tesla reported a narrower than expected fourth quarter loss and said Model 3 production is set to begin in January.

Cramer also said investors should allow the shorts to leave Nvidia (NVDA) - Get Report, which saw shares slump Thursday after a downgrade from BMO Capital Markets analysts. Cramer also said he likes Advanced Micro Devices  (AMD) - Get Report, which is cheaper than Nvidia.

As for J.C. Penney (JCP) - Get Report , which releases earnings on Friday, Cramer is concerned, as the company sells apparel, which is a weak area. 

Cramer also reacts to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin's comments that tax reform may be coming by August and shares his latest take on shares of Barclays (BCS) - Get Report and HP Inc. (HP) - Get Report .
