You may have noticed, Jim Cramer did not appear on "TheStreet Live" or CNBC's "Mad Money" late last week.

His absence sparked all sorts of speculation on Twitter  (TWTR) - Get Twitter, Inc. Report. Cramer set the record straight when he and his Action Alerts PLUS team held their members-only call  Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

Jim Cramer's Transcript:

"I read what people say about me on Twitter. And there was a thread that said I was being kept off air last week because I wanted to help the regular guy and the network didn't want me to. Then there was a second thread that said I work for the big hedge funds and I was trigger-pulling behind the scenes. Some sort of weird puppet show. And then there was a thread that said that I was manipulating, as I always do.

Hmm. What was I really doing? Well, I was having major back surgery, five hours, general anesthesia, to remove a blood-engorged cyst that was blocking me from controlling the use of my legs. Something I found out about when I had to crawl up the stairs the night before and fell on my face walking down the hall at CNBC the next day. So, so much for the master of the universe. The man behind all sorts of schemes. Well, that I had nothing to do with it because I was out.

And by the way, when I was coming to, it was very interesting. I dreamed that I was doing my "Bull Market Fantasy" show and wasn't being heard. And I kept saying, "Can you hear me? Can you hear me?" Delusion is an incredible thing. Now, in some ways, it was a godsend because it allowed me to put things in perspective."
