Jim Cramer: Staples and Office Depot Should Be Allowed to Merge

TheStreet's Jim Cramer says he likes the idea of a merger between Staples and Office Depot. Though the government has blocked the Sysco-US Foods merger and it didn't want a Dollar General-Family Dollar deal, Cramer doesn't think they'll block this one. The reason, he says, is that it's really not a monopoly in this case. You can get office supplies from anywhere such as places like Amazon.com and Costco. Cramer says at one time it was a monopoly because these companies were the go-to places. But that's changed. Cramer says in order for these two companies to survive and thrive they should merge.
