Jim Cramer is a big fan of Qualcomm's (QCOM) - Get Report deal to buy NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) - Get Report , calling it "brilliant," and he says Qualcomm stock can go much higher from here. Qualcomm is acquiring NXP for $39 billion, in what is the biggest semiconductor deal ever. He says the deal enables Qualcomm to expand from being a company focused on semiconductors to one that also focuses on the internet of things. NXP makes chips for the automotive industry. Cramer also points out Broadcom (BRX) - Get Report is another company that broadened its business line.
